The precision of PGT can vary, and there is a potential that testing will not offer
a 100% assurance or certainty. Nonetheless, for the majority of couples, the
testing has an accuracy rate of around 95-99%.

PGT has various potential applications in reproductive medicine, one of which
is its ability to lower the rate of miscarriages

PGT-A can be used to rule out the occurrence of chromosomal abnormalities
such as Down syndrome in kids, as well as other anomalies that could result in
faulty children or miscarriages. PGT-M testing can reveal the possible risk of
about 600 recognised genetic diseases, including sickle cell disease,
thalassaemia, particular hereditary malignancies, cystic fibrosis, muscular
dystrophies, Huntington's disease, and fragile X syndrome.

There is no indication that new born after PGT are prone to congenital
    abnormalities or developmental issues.

PGT can impair or disturb the embryo's development, albeit the danger is minor
in experienced hands. In rare cases, PGT may fail to identify the problem or
    produce incorrect results.
