The Endometrial Receptivity Array (ERA) during INFERTILITY

TREATMENT is a new tool that is used to evaluate the receptivity of the endometrium in women undergoing IVF. This test involves taking a small biopsy of the lining of the uterus and analysis the genetic expression that may be contributing to recurrent implantation failure, a condition in which the woman experience multiple failed attempts at conceiving despite undergoing FERTILITY TREATMENTS.     The process is not unpleasant; however it may be a bit uncomfortable.

    The ERA test is often not administered by doctors when under anaesthesia. But
    if necessary, they might administer local anaesthesia.

    The ERA test is highly accurate in determining the 'receptive profile' of a
    woman's endometrium for successful implantation.

    The risk are low and include the possibility of infection, moderate discomfort,
    and little bleeding or spotting following the biopsy.
